Illinois Goose Hunting
Sportsmen can choose from 9 heated pits, spread out through 150 acres of prime goose habitat, for top-notch goose hunting at Silver Creek. Surrounded by crops such as corn, wheat, and beans, and water near 4 of our pits, these pits are adjacent to areas Canadian geese love to reside during goose season. This makes for an enjoyable goose hunt, with plenty of shooting!
3 miles from our goose hunting plots is the Kaskaskia River, where thousands of geese stay during the winter. Only 8 miles away is the Baldwin Lake refuge—another area with a high concentration of geese. You can probably understand why so many geese can be found at Silver Creek!
A 4-man limited yearly lease can be purchased for waterfowl hunting at Silver Creek for $1200. If you’re not interested in a year-long lease, daily hunts, complete with guide and a reliable hunting dog, are only $75. And, other options are available, if neither of these plans suit your needs. We're happy to provide you with a plan that will suit your budget!
Lodging during goose season is available, if you're coming from a ways away, or just want to spend some time away from the rat race!
