Coonhound Training
In order for your coonhound to perform at a professional level, he/she needs to be trained properly. If your coonhound is in need of professional training, you might want to consider the coonhound training services of Bob Johnson, at Silver Creek Kennels and Hunt Club. Bob’s been training coonhounds for x years, and uses methods in training coonhounds that produce top-notch dogs.
A few training plans are available, depending on your budget, and the needs of your dog. With the training pen plan, your coonhound will have one-on-one training inside of a 25-acre pen, with live coons. Your dog will be run for 30 nights consecutively, which greatly helps to instill its training. This plan is $300, and again, covers 30 nights of one-on-one training for your coonhound.
While the outside hunting plan is a little more expensive, it’s a little more effective in training your coonhound, because it better simulates real coon hunting. With this plan, your coonhound will be hunted 30 nights consecutively in the woods near Silver Creek, in Southern Illinois. This plan is $400, and again covers 30 nights of one-on-one training for your coonhound.
Please note we typically use experienced hounds in training dogs that need a little help getting started.
